Δελτίο Τύπου 3ης Ιουλίου 2005

Ξεκινάει σήμερα, στις 16:00 ο 1ος γύρος του 4ου Παγκόσμιου Πρωταθλήματος Σκάκι Τυφλών Νέων και του 6ου Παγκόσμιου Πρωταθλήματος Σκάκι Τυφλών Γυναικών, στο συνεδριακό χώρο του ξενοδοχείου Eretria Village στην Ερέτρια της Εύβοιας.

Οι αγώνες θα διαρκέσουν έως τις 11 Ιουλίου 2005 και με το 5ο Παγκόσμιο Κύπελλο Εθνών που ακολουθεί έως τις 21 Ιουλίου, οι χώρες που συμμετέχουν έφτασαν τον αριθμό – ρεκόρ 22 συμμετοχών. Τα πρωταθλήματα διοργανώνονται από τον Σκακιστικό Όμιλο Κορυδαλλού και την Παγκόσμια Ομοσπονδία Τυφλών Σκακιστών (I.B.C.A.) με την συμπαράσταση της Ελληνικής Σκακιστικής Ομοσπονδίας και της Εθνικής Ομοσπονδίας Ατόμων με Αναπηρίες (ΕΑΟΜ ΑμεΑ).

Οι αγώνες είναι υπό την αιγίδα του Οργανισμού Νεολαίας και Άθλησης του δήμου Αθηναίων και βοηθήθηκαν από την Περιφέρεια Αττικής, την ελληνική εταιρία πετρελαιοειδών ΕΚΟ ΑΒΕΕ, την Ευβοϊκή Ένωση Σκακιστών, τον Δήμο Χαλκίδας, την Δημοτική Επιχείρηση Πολιτισμού και Ανάπτυξης Χαλκίδας και με χορηγούς Επικοινωνίας τον πανελλήνιας εμβέλειας ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό Αθήνα 9,84 και το περιφερειακό ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό Ράδιο Χαλκίδα.

Στην καθιερωμένη συνάντηση αρχηγών των εθνικών αποστολών των χωρών που συμμετέχουν, άπαντες εκδήλωσαν τον ενθουσιασμό τους από τις συνθήκες διαμονής, οργάνωσης των αγώνων, πληρότητας σε εξειδικευμένο προσωπικό και υλικό καθώς και για την πλούσια προβολή της κοινότητας των τυφλών σκακιστών μέσα από το site των διοργανωτών, το έντυπο υλικό και την ενημέρωση από το ράδιο και τα τοπικά τηλεοπτικά κανάλια.

Πλήθος παράλληλων εκδηλώσεων όπως καθημερινές μουσικές και χορευτικές εκδηλώσεις στην πισίνα του ξενοδοχείου, η καλλιτεχνική έκθεση γλυπτικής (πρωτότυπη διότι απευθύνεται και σε τυφλούς μέσω της αφής των γλυπτών) με τους γνωστούς εικαστικούς τους κυρίους Πέτρο Ρουκουτάκη και Νίκο Κούβακα και καθ΄ όλη την διάρκεια των αγώνων όπως και η εκδρομή στις ομορφιές της Εύβοιας συμπληρώνουν το όμορφο τοπίο και τις πλήρεις ανέσεις που προσφέρει το ξενοδοχείο των αγώνων.

Η αίθουσα των αγώνων ειδικά διαμορφωμένη για εύκολη προσβασιμότητα, με άνετους χώρους, θέσεις θεατών - επισήμων, πρωτόκολλο με σημαίες των χωρών και εθνικούς ύμνους, το μωσαϊκό των 250 ανθρώπων από όλο τον κόσμο, το έμπειρο προσωπικό της διοργάνωσης (ομάδες κληρώσεων, διαδικτύου, διαιτησίας, υποστήριξης συμμετεχόντων, μετάφρασης 4 γλωσσών κλπ) και του ξενοδοχείου, όλα μαζί συνθέτουν ένα ενδιαφέρον και όμορφο σκακιστικό περιβάλλον το οποίο αξίζει όλοι να γνωρίσουν!

Press Release, 3rd of July (ENGLISH VERSION)

The first round of the 4th World Championship of Blind Youth Chess players and the 6th World Championship of Blind Woman players start at 16:00 pm in the conference center of Eretria Village Hotel in Eretria, in the isle of Evia in Greece.

All the game rounds we will be last until the 11th of July 2005. After that the 5th World National Chess Cup we will continue until the 21st of July. The numbers of the countries which they participate are 22, something which nobody was expecting.
The world championship chess games for blind persons for 2005 have been organized by the Chess Club of Koridallos and the International Braille Chess Association (IBCA) with the collaboration of the Greek Chess Federation and the National Federation of People with Disabilities (EAOM ΑΜΕΑ).

All the games are under the collaboration of the Youth & Sports Organization of the Municipality of Athens, Attica and Islands Territory, the Greek Petroleum Company (EKO ABEE), the Evia Chess Union, the Municipality of Chalkis, the Culture and Development Municipality Company of Chalkis and communicate sponsors the Greek radio station (Athens 9,84) and the local Chalkis radio and TV stations.

In the standard meeting of the chess captains of the national teams, everyone present the satisfaction of the well organized games, the accommodation, the fulfill of the specialized technical stuff and materials and the presentation of the chess games to the blind society from the web site of the organization, the leaflets information’s & posters, radio and TV stations.

During with the games many parallel events are taking place such as special design exhibition with sculpture works of art (artists: Petros Roukoutakis and Nicolas Kouvakas), dance and music events every night near to the hotel swimming pool, tours in the beautiful and sunshine Evia. The seaside and all the above are fulfill the nice and friendly hotel environment.

The conference center which all the games are taking place is special designed for easy access, with comfortable places for the players, viewers and also the guides. Also the play hall has all the flags of the countries which they participate under the guidelines of the national protocol. The mosaic of the 250 people of different countries, the experience stuff, (arbiter team, internet team, support team, translate team – 4 languages, computer team etc.), the stuff of the hotel, all these compose an interest and beautiful chess environment which everyone must meet.
