Δελτίο Τύπου 4ης Ιουλίου 2005

Με εξαιρετική οργανωτική επιτυχία (ξεκινώντας στην προκαθορισμένη ώρα παρόλο την δριμύτατη καλοκαιρινή μπόρα) και με τα αναμενόμενα αγωνιστικά αποτελέσματα εξελίχθηκε ο 1ος γύρος. Οι παίκτες, μετά από ψηφοφορία στην συνάντηση των αρχηγών εχτές, παίζουν 2 ώρες για 40 κινήσεις και 30 λεπτά για την ολοκλήρωση της παρτίδας ο καθένας ανά παρτίδα, ένα άνετο και βολικό χρονικό σύστημα όπως δήλωσαν.

Τα bulletin σε έντυπη και ψηφιακή μορφή δόθηκαν σύντομα όπως και η ενημέρωση των μέσων μαζικής ενημέρωσης. Όσον αφορά τον 2ο γύρο, για διευκόλυνση των συμμετεχόντων, οι διοργανωτές φρόντισαν να έχει ο καθένας το δικό του τραπέζι, κάτι το οποίο σύμφωνα με τον Πρόεδρο της IBCA Mr Delfin Burdio, έγινε για πρώτη φορά.

Επίσης μεγάλη νίκη σημείωσε ο Έλληνας νεαρός Αλιόγλου Χρήστος, ανερχόμενο ταλέντο, εναντίον του Γερμανού Sass Jens στα Παγκόσμια Νέων 2005.
Οι υπόλοιπες παρτίδες σημείωσαν έντονη μαχητική δράση με δεδομένο ότι υπήρξε μόνο μια ισοπαλία.

Συνεχίστηκαν οι συνεντεύξεις με τους τοπικούς τηλεοπτικούς και ραδιοφωνικούς σταθμούς, ενώ το ράδιο Αθήνα 9,84 παίζει το πρώτο ραδιοφωνικό spot για σκάκι τυφλών στην ιστορία του Ελληνικού ραδιοφώνου.
Άλλη μια καινοτομία είναι η δυνατότητα "κατεβάσματος" των παρτίδων των τυφλών σκακιστών από το site www.blackqueen.net/sokoridallou σε μορφή pgn.
